Greetings, Epicureans!
Welcome to the 5th annual Epicurean Classic. Here is where you'll find details about all the cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, receptions, and superb dinners taking place over the course of the 2008 Classic. Take a few moments to review this year's stellar list of guest artisans and peruse the class offerings. We've cooked-up a mighty tasty program and once you sample the offerings, we think you'll agree.
Of note this year is the implementation of the Day Pass. The new Day Pass or, Two Day Pass grants you access to over twenty cooking demos each day, and entrance into our expanded Tasting Pavilion. For most of you, that will add up to a huge savings. We suggest you keep track of the chefs you wish to see then make a beeline for the appropriate demo stages during the event. You’ll find a lot of exciting activity with four concurrent demo stages. And, don't forget to allow yourself time for an occasional stroll into the Tasting Pavilion for an interesting nibble of food or to sample any of the hundreds of international wines.
If you're new to the Epicurean Classic, it may be helpful to know the underlying tenets of our philosophy.
1) Cooking is an essential skill, one of life's sincerest acts of kindness and familial enrichment
2) Chefs and Artisans are to be championed and celebrated.
3) The best way to catch and maintain the zest for cooking is by learning from an accomplished chef firsthand
4) Love of cooking increases simultaneously with one's level of interest and experience
5) Thoughtfully crafted books and wine are irreplaceable
We look forward to seeing you in September.
Cheers,
