Most restaurant-related conversations in northern Michigan begin and end with mention of this Ellsworth institution because Chef/Owner Pete Peterson never cut even one corner. Why else would Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, Charlie Trotter, Jacques Torres, Susan Spicer, Bradley Ogden, Norman Van Aken, and Rick Bayless all jump at the chance to cook with him in Tapawingo’s kitchen? This will be a team-teaching demo. Chef Peterson will prepare a couple classics from the Tapawingo annals, and Chef Kittelson will do the same.
