Their chefs will be joined by Jason Denton from New York City. Jason Denton is responsible for some of New York’s most successful and well-loved restaurants. In addition to creating ‘ino and ‘inoteca, Jason and partners Mario Batali and Joseph Bastianich own and run the popular Lupa Osteria Romano and Otto. Jason runs ‘ino with his wife, Jennifer Denton, who collaborated on the sensational menu and wine list. This visit coincides with the release of their book Simple Italian Sandwiches: Recipes from New York’s Favorite Panini Bar.
Create your very own flights from a menu of no fewer than thirty small plates (bruschetti, panini, tramezzini, and others). Or, let the chefs do the thinking for you and select from a few themed flights. Sommeliers will offer a lengthy list of hand-picked wine selections from Italy including some special features from Amanda’s two classes at the Epicurean Classic. You may choose to enjoy wine by the 3-ounce or 6-ounce glass, ½-liter and bottle. Amanda will arrange pairings of wine to complement the themed food flights suggested by the chefs. So join us at Trattoria Stella to enjoy a fabulous collaborative menu in true enotecca fashion in Northern Michigan’s most unique restaurant atmosphere. A percentage of proceeds from the evening’s food sales and the special wine menu will benefit the Great Lakes Culinary Institute.
